DCell: A Scalable and Fault-Tolerant Network Structure for Data Centers

I started reading this paper a month ago but put it down after 2 pages. I couldn't follow the paper. I tried reading it again a week ago and put it down again. Why is this paper so hard to read? Why am I so stupid? I found two blog posts where students had reproduced the results in the paper and had found the paper very clear and easy to read. I was like
